A symphonic tribute to The Purple One
Musical iconoclast Prince passed away much too soon last year, but his place in the history books was more than assured. A musical chameleon who blended funk, pop and R&B to dazzling effect, he ruled over the 1980s and 90s with classic hits like 'Purple Rain', 'Kiss', 'Raspbery Beret', 'Sign o' the Times', 'Diamonds and Pearls', and 'When Doves Cry'.
Kansas City Symphony Orchestra will bring his music to life this March, with a concert featuring all these songs and more. They'll be joined by a full rock band, as well as vocalist Marshall Charloff from the Prince tribute band Purple Xperience.
