Steven Reineke, Musical Director of the New York Pops joins the Kansas City Symphony for this unabashed celebration of the combined genius of Rodgers and Hammerstein's, two of Broadway's enduring icons.
With their partnership known as one of the greatest of the 20th century, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II came together first in 1943 to create Oklahoma! Ushering the 'Golden Age' of Broadway musicals, the pair went on to have many beloved hits, including The Sound Of Music, Cinderella, The King and I and South Pacific. Expect to here excerpts from these and many more in this special evening paying tribute to their legendary relationship.
