Awful, May 14, 2011
reviewer: Cindy R from Minneapolis
The music gave me a negative discordant feeling. I did not care for any of the songs. None of them seemed like tunes you might want to hear again. The singing was often too loud and many times when two or more were singing at the same time you couldn't understand the lyrics. The plot was depressing with nothing redeeming or enlightening. We almost left at intermission but hoped the second half might be better. It wasn't. I felt that I had lost a few hours of my life that I would very much like to get back and spend differently.

Spectacularly emotional!, Mar 18, 2012
reviewer: Geoff from Murrieta, CA
Saw it on Broadway, then opening night of the US Tour in Los
Angeles, as well as San Diego... This musical is POWERFUL!!
Although Alice Ripley was not that great live, the rest of the cast
pulled her through it. Marin played it MUCH better on Broadway,
but the show is still my 2nd favorite musical of all time! It will
leave you drained of tears and allows you to stir up emotions that
are hiding deep inside you. Truly a fantastic piece of art!!! MUST
SEE!!!!! The soundtrack is wonderful as well.

Brilliant and beautiful! , Apr 13, 2013

I do not know how anyone would have anything negative to
say about this show! We saw it with the original cast and its
spectacular and incredibly moving! Highly recommend to
theatre fans or theatre first timers!
